If I wasn't afraid of breaking my body on the stairs or tipping over when swinging on my 30 pound backpack, didn't mind being 4 feet taller than all the Justin Bieber freshman and bending in half to open my locker, and had the money to blow on Marc Jacobs suede platform jellies, I would SO be wearing these to school all day err day.

Instead, today I wore my crispy new $9 white Feds (fake-keds, obviii) from Target.
Classy lady.

Continuing to post Over-the-Top with none other than Topshop shorts! Harhar look how clever that was, and it wasn't even on purpose.

I feel like there are plenty of patriotic pants exactly like these floating around in Salvation Armies and middle-aged women's closets everywhere, but somehow when Topshop cuts off the legs and puts a $65 price tag on them, they are so much more appealing.

I'm a little disappointed and confused by myself right now because I feel like I've become one of those people who'd be all like, "Ohhhh of course I'll spend an obscene amount of money on a headband made of dried cockroaches, as long as you say it's chic".

Except I'm not all too let down by myself because I enjoy endorsing the absurd, and it's not as though I only like these things because everyone implies that I should, it's just that when they're chucked at me it's like, "oh! well that could be cute!".

Wow, cool Paige, more shoes...
But these are the epitome of the current shoe craze. I see these and am like, PRADA CHANEL REALLY?! RIDICULOUSNESS.
Except if I had the money, I'm pretty sure these would be on the top of my shopping list. It's their absurdity that makes them so covetable and charming.

The Christian Louboutin website is absolutely charming! The way the different pages are collaged and the little pair of red heels that click around are so cute. The sound effects don't even bother me, which is saying something (positive).

So...the Oscars...
Robert Downey Jr. had a certain panache that only he could pull off * Despite her greatest efforts, Kristen Stewart couldn't repress her smiles * Zac Efron needed those Axe girls to jump him and wash his hair * Clooney was extra pissy (demonstration of excellent acting skills?) at the terrific hosts * The opening musical display was rather uninspiring - though granted, nothing can really live up to Hugh Jackman * And Kathryn Bigelow totally whipped her ex (OHHHH burrrrn)

Miley needs better posture, as her painfully hunched shoulders were completely distracting from her gown, which I think I liked, but I'm just not sure because I couldn't tear my gaze away from that repulsive stance she was forcing herself into!

I actually really enjoyed Diane Kruger's Chanel gown, contrary to the general consensus. I saw Karlie Kloss wearing it several months ago somewhere on this endless Web and snagged the picture. I think it's very soft and delicate - which to me is the appropriate theme for the Oscars- but in an unconventional way. And I guess all that fluff could potentially be rather unflattering, but not on Miss Kruger.

Meryl Streep looked fabulous in her white gown, but I didn't realize that it was made by a previous Project Runway participant, Chris March. He was one of the absolutely ridiculous personalities on the show. It's so great to see that that show really does give designers a foot up in tha bizzzz.

Rachel McAdams was absolutely heavenly. She's an actress who everyone gushes over constantly, but I've never really been as enthusiastic. Her appearance at the Oscars changed that. Just everything about her was so....clean...maybe "fresh" is a better term.
As I was looking through the Spring couture shows( to pick out my would-be Oscar ensamble, of course) I found that McAdams' was an Elie Saab creation. I love that they are romantic, soft, beautiful, delicate, etc., which I believe an Oscar gown should be.

My Oscar rips were pretty mild, but for some nasty go here. Also the source of most of these pictures.

YaYyAyYaYyAy Oscars!

One day, I will be there. After hosting SNL the night before, of course.

But as for looking at some real stars...

Ok I'm not a huge Justin Beiber fan...Although he's a cutie, he's pretty much still a baby and sounds like a girl. But I'll give him a few years to, you know, hit puberty and all since he seems like a real sweetheart. This video is adorable.

But man, that girl is going to be dangerous in 15 years. She's only three and she already knows how to manipulate the public, Kimmel, and Bieber himself.

EDIT: I'm listening to One Time and remembering how annoyingly catchy it is. Damn pop.
